With the new year approaching fast we thought we would take this opportunity to talk about Junior cricket in 2023. Firstly, we would like to let you know about the pre-season net programme that we are putting in place. Nets and training will take place at Countesthorpe College Sports Hall on Thursday evenings. There will be a session from 6pm to 7pm for Under 11s & Under 13s and then a session from 7pm to 8pm for the Under 15s. Pre--season training will commence for Juniors on Thursday January 12th and will continue right up until Easter.

The second topic we would like to address is the issue of signing on fees for the 2023 season for Junior cricket. We appreciate that times are not easy for many people at the moment due to the cost-of-living crisis and with this in mind we decided to freeze all signing on fees for Juniors at £50 for the season, this is for Under 11s, 13s and 15s and will cover all training fees as well as match fees

Finally, we would like to make an appeal to any members or parents of juniors to see if they would wish to join the junior cricket management structure? We are looking for any member or parent (it can be either mum or dad) to volunteer to become a team manager or assistant managers for any of our junior teams. We would not be asking you to necessarily take on any specific coaching duties (although we could help with this if you wished to do so) just help run the teams and help out the current coaches.
