Match report The mid-week team continued their losing streak with a third loss in a row against local rivals Narborough. After winning the toss Cosby batted first and again got off to a good start with Billy Blue Gloves and The Undertaker (Waggy) batting well. Bayliss was the 1st of the 2 to fall being bowled by another junior for 24. Waggy went on to record his 2nd consecutive 40 including one 6 that got Bayliss in hot water with the Missus as it hit her car. Owen scored a breezy 10 and at the end of the innings Whitey and Nick "I'm off to Syston" Baker scoring quick runs as Cosby finished 115 for 2 off the 16 overs.

Things started well(ish) for Cosby in the field with Ben "Bertie Bassett" Irvine and Sheriff bowling. Things were looking good with Narborough 25 for 2 off 5. This brough Sean Young to the crease for Narborough and this is where things went pear shaped for Cosby. The burly middle order bat despatched Andy for 20 off his over, got stuck into Irvine in his next and then Billso in the over after that. He hit Steve Pep for 4 in the next over and that was it, he had reached his 40 in little over 3 overs and the game was all but over.

There was time for some comedy fielding from Billso as he tried to stop a ball going over the boundary with his foot. Unfortunately he booted it over the rope and managed to get in a dive so shameful Didier Drogba would have been embarassed. Pep, Cooky and Billso all managed to pick up a wicket but Narborough reached their target with overs to spare.
