Match report Dave Thorpe Breaks Wicket Keeping Catching Record in Sunday XI Route at Houghton!

Dave Thorpe has broken the clubs 'Catches by a Wicket Keeper in a match' Record with 6 catches at Houghton-on-the-Hill. The individual acheivement was part of a Superb all round performance by the Sunday XI.

Having lost the toss on a roasting hot day, Cosby were asked to bowl and with the boundaries on the very small side of small it looked like a long day in the field!

However, some outstanding bowling from Matt Hurst (5-24) Alex White (2-29) Tom Measures (2-3) and Curtis Holloway (1-14) saw Cosby dismiss Houghton for 113.

Lewis Todd with 57* and Nigel Meredith 44* ensured a 10 Wicket Victory in quick time. It was an excellent team effort and all the juniors in the side performed very well.
