Welcome to Cosby Cricket Club
We are an ambitious club currently playing in Leicestershire Everards League Division 3 and Division 6. We run 4 senior teams (1st XI, 2nd XI, Sunday XI & Mid-week XI) that cater for all abilities. We also run a number of Junior teams, including Kwik Cricket, Under 13’s, 15’s and 17’s.
Anyone interested in joining us and getting involved in whatever capacity (be it as a player, coach, helping with scoring or even umpiring) please contact the club through this website
********Important Announcement********
As all members who were present at the clubs AGM in December will be aware it was decided that the club will be introducing an annual subscription for the 2010 season. The reason the club has decided on this course of action is like every other individual, household or business we are in need of extra income in this increasingly difficult financial climate. Moreover the clubs cash flows are very unbalanced with the majority of income received during the season whereas many of the expenses are incurred prior to the season starting.
It has been decided by the general committee that the level of this annual subscription will be £25 for senior members, for which the member will also receive entry into the 100 club (which is currently under-subscribed) and therfore giving every chance of the member winning more than their money back. The level of signing on fee for junior members (Under 18s) has been set at £40. This may seem odd for junior membership to exceed that of the seniors however for this fee junior members will have to pay no match day subs for any junior cricket (from Kwik Cricket all the way to Under 17s) and also all junior net sessions will be free of charge.
The deadline for paying the annual subscription has been set as the beginning of the season which is Saturday April 24th. Anyone who has not paid by this date will have until May 31st to pay off the outstanding amount or they will not be considered for selection for any Cosby Cricket Club matches. It would obviously be appreciated by the club if all annual subscriptions were paid as early as possible with the first opportunity being at the race night on Saturday 13th March. All monies to be paid to either Chris Pople, Paul Wood or Matt Bills (seniors) or Pete Sullivan (juniors) and to be handed in with a completed membership form (see Membership Form page at bottom of sidebar). All cheques are to be made payable to Cosby Cricket Club.
Anyone with any questions about the annual subscription please get in touch with a member of the general committee.
Upcoming Events

The club will be taking part in the ECB - NatWest CricketForce weekend on Saturday 27th March.
CricketForce is an England and Wales Cricket Board initiative aimed at rejuvinating the nation's cricketing facilities. With enough volunteers involved to fill the Millenium Stadium it is the largest volunteer programme in British Sport.
CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their freinds and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds.
On the morning of the 27th we will be looking to carry out a number of renovations of the ground with the major projects involving the painting and maintenance of the current sight screens as well as painting the frame of our new sight screen which is currently under construction. There is also work to carry out on the sponsors board, the scoreboard as well as the boundary line marker.
We are looking for as many able bodied volunteers to come down and help out between 10 am and Noon on the 27th March and there is a possibility of a county cricketer to help us with our projects although at this stage we are not sure who it will be.
